Road trip to Grandma's!!

We averaged about 2 trips a semester down to see Ann in St. George while in law school.  This would probably be our last trip since our baby is due in about a month.  Then Daniel will be graduating from law school!!!  Recently David, Cami and their kids, Mia and Ethan moved near by Ann.  As much as we love playing with Mia and Ethan, this meant our strict bedtime went out the window.  But that's alright, cousins are way more important than bedtimes.  One of our favorite foods came from a visit to Cami's house.  She made all the kids Malt-o-Meal.  I have never even heard of it before, but boy am I glad that is what she served us for breakfast.  It has been a staple in our pantry ever since.

Birthdays at the Rosas

The Rosas live in West Jordan which is only 30 minutes north of us in Orem. Birthday parties at the Rosas were always nice. Elizabeth is a great cook and Ricardo loves making birthday cakes for his kids.  They are always so creative and well thought out.  Jen loves dolls and mermaids, as you can see.

Ricky loves trains and

Bedtime is on Target

As a new mom, there were two things that were important to me; a tight sleeping schedule and road trips to see family.  I could practically tell the time according to her sleep schedule. She was ready for a nap at 1pm and would wake at 3pm on the dot.  By 7:30pm it was time to get ready for bed.

We were great at having a house of order at least when we were in town!

Playtime at Wymount

Our last semester at BYU was rolling along smoothly. Living in married student housing has its perks! Whether it was sunny or snowy there was always someone who wanted to play at the park which was just outside our door. Lucky for me, Daniel hasn't had much studying to do these days. Once he read all the assignments he was able to spend the rest of the day with me and little Livvie mostly playing outside.

Another BYU married housing benefit was treasures that were left behind such as this little red car.

A less obvious toy was the small lid to our spray bottle. Livvy Lou liked to pop it off and then click it back on.

Of course, if she had to choose between a bottle top and a donut, she would choose the donut dad brought home from school!

I still remember the first time Olivia got sick. Daniel didn't have a cell phone, but he did have a pager.  I paged him when his classes were over and he came right home. True to Livvies sweet baby nature she just wanted to be held all day and wasn't very fussy.
