the last Birthday party

Happy birthday, babe. I am glad you had so much fun at your birthday. It was the perfect day for a water balloon toss/fight, slip-n-slid and a pinata!

Hi Josh- even the little guys wanted in on the fun.

Then we brought out the slip-n-slid. It didn't take long for most of the kids to get a hang of it. Sam was a little shy; I think he only tried it once. But that is understandable considering he slept from 11am until 4pm because he was sick.

We invited Olivia's friends to bring their entire family. OK I admit Liv's party was just an excuse to get together with some friends. Kaylene and Karla were sitting next to me so you can't see them. I also decapitated Daniel. . sorry Bob.

After all the hard work of playing the kids were really for dinner.
I don't think they ate much.

The kids quickly lined up the the pinata. Yes, Olivia's best friends are boys!

Nice swing babe! Olivia picked out her pinata. She was really excited about the number 5. She wanted to make sure everyone knew she was turning 5!

Without any help from the parents, the kids sang Happy Birthday to Olivia. It was so cute, the words were a little mixed up, but that is what made it so cute!

I wish I could get the video upload to work. I have the cutest picture of Chloƫ eating this cupcake.

that was good

Sam's new baby sister

I think this is the first time Sam has held his sister. He has never asked to before now.

Sam is very happy to be a big brother again. We have a book Called "I'm a Big Sister Now". He has asked me to read it to him several times lately. Of course, I replace sister with brother, and he loves it.

Olivia's Sunday birthday dinner

We had another celebration for Olivia's birthday. Our home teacher, Todd and his son Nathan came for dinner, dessert and a game of dominos. Todd has been very faithful, visiting us most months with a spiritual message, and a great support for our family. Melanee and her daughter Amanda also came over for dessert and dominos.

Olivia got some school clothes, including this cute hat and "a dress pajamas".

Olivia's birthday party at kindergarten

Olivia's teacher, Mrs. Englehardt, invited us to come to Olivia's class for her birthday. It was a great day for Olivia. Her teacher helped her make a birthday crown and everyone in class made her a birthday card. It was a great way to start school.

Olivia's first day of Kindergarten

Well- Mom and dad are a little tired from having to wake up early, but we were so excited to do so for Olivia's first day of school.

This is how big Olivia is compared to dad!

Olivia was very excited to go out into the big new world. Good luck Olivia we have taught you the best we could. I know you will do well and be a good friend to those in your class. I also know your teacher will be grateful that you are in her class because you are always helpful, kind, and have a positive outlook. Enjoy yourself!!

Sam

Sam is turning out to be just like his dad... good at whatever he does. He loves to play tennis, swim, and play with legos. He likes to wrestle with his sisters and dad. He definately plays the roll of Brother, but he does have his soft side. He still loves his pink chenille blanket and gives lots of hugs and kisses (some of which are not welcomed by his sisters). Sam is excited to start preschool. One other thing I like about Sam is that he likes to help me cook dinner or bake desserts.
