What I see when I open my eyes
Every morning I open my eyes to this:

Every morning I open my eyes to this:

I cant believe we did it! We bought a house.... well i bought a house with Daniel's money. We have been looking for 10 months and we found the perfect house..... small but perfect.
This Halloween was a busy one. It was even hard to get a picture with everyone together. This year our costumes did not go together with a theme but they were very nostalgic. Chloë wore one of my old costumes and Lauren was Buzz Lightyear. I will have to post a picture of all 4 kids wearing Buzz Lightyear for Halloween.

Lauren was playing at Bubb school and tripped and fell flat on her forehead. Off to urgent care we went! 5 stitches later we were fine. I finally had to go to urgent care to get stitches for one of the kids. Lauren was very brave the entire time. The only time she cried was right after her fall. The doctors were wonderful. They put a some liquid on the skin to numb the area before they put the anesthetic on before they stitch the area- so NO pain is ever felt. I love modern medicine. And yes she will have a scar!

I decided to take the kids out of school early today so we could go to the pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay. We had a great morning. After the pumpkin patch we went to a place that had rides. I wonder if Sam will ever be so old that he will not run after the sound if a train whistle. We had a great day, but missed having Daniel with us.

We have a great group if friends around here. Every other Halloween we are part of a huge scavenger hunt! It is so fun. There are about 8 teams with about 5 couples on each team. We have a week prior to the main scavenger hunt to prank the other teams. This evening we spent toilet papering the other teams cars. We had a blast. The final event of the scavenger hunt was also fun even though we didn't win. Maybe in two years we will have better luck. Happy halloween!

Daniel and I left the kids with the Miners this weekend. Since we got started so late we went to a local movie then stayed home. The next morning we drop to Carmel by the Sea. There, we had a nice lunch and toured the Carmel mission. One would think a tour of this place wouldn't take more than 45 minutes, but we were there for over 2 hours. Daniel and I kept asking the museum guide questions and we got to see some special things, like books from the Priest's private library...books that were hundreds of years old. This is the only picture I have from that weekend other than a few beach pictures. On Sunday we went on the famous 18 mile drive around and through Pebble Beach. This too was beautiful.
We were Happy to come back to our children until we found out that Sam had spent the night on the bathroom floor throwing up and then we had to hear a big dramatic story about Olivia's day with Sophie. Oh well, it was a nice weekend while it lasted.

After Christmas we invited Eve's family to come play with us for a few days. We had a great time. One day we drove to the Santa Cruz mountains and took a train ride. It was such a nice day.
Lauren: "So, when are the Kids coming home?"
Me: "Uh, Lu, it is 9:355am, it's going to be a LONG time 'till the kids get home."
poor Lauren, she is Stuck with only me.
Anyone can see Lauren looks just like Olivia, ut their similarities were just too cute tonight. We were studying the Book of Mormon with the kids. Each kid was in charge of raising their hand when daniel said a certain word. Olivia decided she would make a tally of each persons word. After about 5 minutes Lauren wanted to be just like her sister. It was so cute when Lauren ran to get a paper out and started coloring just like Olivia.
