What do we do in summer?

We paint rabbits and bird houses and do nothing!

Several times this week Chloë and Lauren (Sam is at scout camp) have said they were bored. I would say "great!!!"  And I do think that is great. Usually the kids have so much to do they don't have time to play. After I would say "great" I would say, "Go climb the tree or pretend you are a fairy family."  And they would climb the tree and imagine they were a fairy family living in the tree. 

Of course, if they didn't want to climb a tree they could do timed addition worksheets. Both Chloë and Lauren are improving in their math facts. Some days they actually think the tests are fun. Yesterday Lauren said she wanted to do 100 more!
